Hiking the Red Trail
At 10:00 on Saturday, April 29th, the Queen of the Apostles Kingsmen Club will meet for its inaugural expedition at Gillette Castle! Starting at the southern end of the Red Trail (the end not connected to the Yellow Trail), we will say a prayer and then hike to the picnic area by the Connecticut River, where we will have a brief reflection on the Baptism of the Lord in the River Jordan and pray a decade of the rosary (the First Luminous Mystery, which is the Baptism of the Lord). We will then hike the rest of the Red Trail until it connects with the Yellow Trail, and then stop at the picnic area, where we will eat lunch and play some capture-the-flag until 2:00.
