Classes - All Saint's Day Party

  • Queen of the Apostles Academy 30 Pendleton Road New Britain, CT, 06053 United States (map)

Let us celebrate the courage and conviction of our saints by attending mass and celebrating our saints by having an All Saint’s Day party. Students are encouraged to dress as their favorite saints. We will have a contest for the most accurate depiction of their saint. They should also be able to share one bit of information about their saint that made them want to choose them in the first place.

All Saint’s Day is Friday, November 1st, which is a Holy Day of Obligation. Mass times are 8:00am and 6:00pm at St. Francis and 12:00pm at St. Jerome.

All Saints and All Souls comprise the two-day celebration of the Communion of Saints – those who are with God in heaven and those who are on their way to heaven. On the Solemnity of All Saints, November 1, the Church celebrates those Christians who achieved spiritual maturity. It is a day to venerate all the holy men and women who have been canonized by the Church. A day later, on the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed (All Souls’ Day), the Church remembers and prays for the faithful departed: our brothers and sisters who have died marked with the sign of faith. Particularly, we pray for all the souls in purgatory.-The National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception
